Backorders?!

So your product is backordered, here is what we're doing about that!

OTG Athletics is a dealer for hundreds of companies like Under Armour, Harrow, Easton, Majestic, Holloway and all the other popular brands as well as off brand names. We are proud to be a successful supplier/dealer for these companies, and are happy to be able to offer the best products in the business to our clients.

In todays economy, more than ever manufactures are operating on slim inventory levels as no one wants to carry a large amount of product as it's expensive. If we check inventory on a particular brand at 1pm and inventory is good, there is no guarantee that the product will be available a week later much less 4 hours later.

Backorders are a regular issue that we unfortunately all have to deal with...it generally happens when a large order comes in from another dealer, large retailer, or professional sports team. Because of this, we have decided that it's necessary to secure a plan B for your order. This means we replace whatever brand that is backordered with a comparable brand and style. This is very necessary to assure the product is delivered in the timelines that were agreed on by our sales team and the client. In much the same way, an item we advised was backordered at 4pm may come in to receiving the next day and be available by 10AM.

Thus, we decided to act more like a catalog since the information we would have on backordered items could be inaccurate at any time, we decided to not indicate if an item was in backorder status. Again, if an item does show up as backordered we will provide an estimated ship date, which is just that...an estimate from the manufacturer, at that point our client will then be able to make the decision to hold off on receiving the order or going with plan B.
